A little about what informs the care I provide:
Therapeutic touch first shaped my understanding of the body, giving me a grounded, hands-on understanding of tension and compensation in the body.
Acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine expanded that understanding, offering a broader clinical lens for recognizing patterns across a person’s overall presentation—not just a single symptom or area of discomfort. Traditional Chinese medicine works through the process of pattern differentiation, considering how signs, symptoms, history, and other clinical findings relate to one another to help guide an individualized treatment approach.
I work from the recognition that the body is designed to heal and that physical change is influenced by more than structure alone; my role is to create conditions that allow those healing processes to occur more effectively. Bringing this knowledge into practice gives me greater flexibility in how I work with the same person over time, allowing treatment to shift thoughtfully in response to how that person is presenting and adapting.
Ultimately, it’s about helping you to keep doing what you love for as long as possible.
